Generally, this service is for focusing on understanding and addressing emotional, behavioural and psychological issues in an effort to make positive changes in ones life. Psychologist digs deeper in to human behaviour regarding thoughts, emotions through assessment and diagnosis.

Jaime Adams is a body-centered Psychotherapist. Her therapeutic approach is from a Somatic touch lens. Jaime has worked and studied in the helping field for nine years. She started her journey as a touch therapist in British Columbia at a treatment center in the Shuswap. As a Somatic- informed therapist, Jaime has a nurture-by-nature approach to therapy and believes clients can integrate their physical bodies into the therapy process which can heal both mind and body. Over the years, Jaime has continued to add to her education as a certified Death Doula, Addiction Counsellor, Professional Counsellor, qualified life coach, Shadow integration therapy, PolyVagal theory, Holistic Wellness Counsellor. Over the past few years, she has become interested in exploring psychedelic therapy from a somatic therapist lens.

Jaime also works part-time as a disability service worker, working with nonverbal adults and their families. Her somatic approach aids her while working closely with her non-verbal clients through co-regulation by tapping into their somatic wisdom to support and understand them better. Jaime believes paying close attention to what our bodies tell us can help us understand our whole selves.

As a somatic-informed therapist, Jaime aims to provide psychoeducation that incorporates body-oriented modalities such as breathwork, meditation, inventory of the nervous system (vagal toning) and mind-body assessment experiences into her sessions.

Somatic therapy techniques include:

Calling upon emotional resources (Vagal toning assessment)

Grounding

Encouraging detailed descriptions

Movement, including sensorimotor expression

Learning tools to calm oneself (Vagal toning/Rocking )

Erica is a graduate from the University of Alberta in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Erica is pursuing a career in counselling and is a practicum student of Kelowna College of Professional Counselling (KCPC) in the Applied Psychology and Counselling Diploma, specializing in the practice of Psychotherapy.

Erica has passion of working with young people. Starting at twelve years old, Erica began Jr Coaching at Salta Gymnastics Club. She loved working with kids and seeing their growth, and eventually advanced to an AGF certified competitive coach and choreographer. After completed her bachelors, Erica joined the Medicine Hat School of Performing Arts and has worked there as a teacher, guiding students to reach their potential and gain confidence through the art of dance. She is looking forward to transitioning her skills learned in the classroom to a counselling setting, and plans to focus her practice on helping children (7+), adolescents, and young adults.

Stephen earned his Bachelor’s of Nursing degree (with distinction) from the University of Calgary after a career change from the trades. He is a passionate teacher and worked as an Instructor at Medicine Hat College teaching Human Anatomy & Physiology labs, Applied Pathophysiology, and Nursing Lab courses shortly after graduating. Since then he has been working exclusively in the ICU as a Critical Care RN with Alberta Health Services Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. He has 12 years of experience and training in airway management, conscious sedation, and advanced cardio-pulmonary assessments. Stephen is BLS (basic life support) and ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) certified through the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. More recently he has completed his Cybin Corp. Psychedelic Facilitator training using the EMBARK approach.

His lived experiences working in the ICU through the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a keen interest in mental and emotional health. Courtney Materi is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) Graduate Degree, and an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology and Philosophy (BASc).

Courtney is passionate about co-creating safe, inclusive, and collaborative therapeutic relationships with clients. Meet Ali, a registered yoga teacher with Canada Yoga Alliance (RYT-250). Ali’s love for yoga began in 2010 and she has been a teacher since 2022 with over 750 teaching hours. You may recognize Ali as she is a popular yoga instructor that is in high demand for many local studios. Ali teaches Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Nidra and Meditation in addition provides cacao ceremonies, grief workshops, combo Accupuncture and destination wellness retreats. She is always working on continued education to provide the best space for people to learn.

Yoga is a personal practice and she is here to guide you through poses, breath and meditation to help you explore your mind and body.
